Privacy Policy

Ryzy Racing is an unofficial fan project that shows Formula 1 results, telemetry, race stories and team radio, personalised to the drivers and team you follow. This page explains what information the app handles and what you can do about it. We keep it to what the app actually does.
What we collect

We don't ask for payment details, we don't run advertising, and we don't sell your personal information.
Who handles it
The app relies on other services. Using the app means your browser talks to them directly, and they receive technical information such as your IP address:
- Google (Firebase). Authentication, Cloud Firestore (where your profile is stored), Google Analytics for Firebase, Google sign-in, and Google Fonts. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- OpenF1. Race data (results, laps, telemetry, positions) is requested straight from openf1.org. No account information is sent with those requests.
- Formula 1 media and live timing servers. Driver photos and team radio recordings are loaded from servers operated by Formula 1.
- Our hosting provider. Serves the website and may keep standard server logs.
Your profile is stored in Google's cloud infrastructure, which may be located outside your country.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and profile until you delete your account. Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics settings. Copies in your browser stay until you clear your site data.
Your choices
- See and edit. Change your name, email and password on the Account page, and your favourites in Edit favourites.
- Delete. The Account page has a Delete account button. It permanently removes your sign-in and your saved profile. Anonymous analytics already collected may remain until it expires.
- Clear local data. Clear this site's data in your browser settings to remove the copy stored on your device.
- Block analytics. Most browsers and extensions let you block Google Analytics. The app works the same without it.
Security
Access to your profile is limited to you through Firebase security rules, and connections use HTTPS. No online service is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Children
Ryzy Racing isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has created an account, delete it from the Account page or let us know and we'll remove it.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above. If a change is significant we'll tell you in the app.
